About Bowen Hotel
Formerly known as the Denison Hotel, the Bowen Hotel is family-owned and operated by the Hakfoort Group who purchased the establishment in 2015.
Like a Pheonix from the ashes, the Bowen Hotel has been rebuilt twice after having been destroyed by fire. The first instance occurred in the early 20th century, and again in 1980. At this time, the Hotel was owned and rebuilt by Barry Allen. He had operated the Hotel with his wife Irene since 1960. The Bowen Hotel continues to set a high standard in hospitality.
